Job Description:
Staff Accountant – AR & Billing Focus
Location: South Rutherford County (100% on-site)
Pay: $24 - $28/hr | Schedule: Mon–Fri, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM (30min lunch)
We’re looking for a Staff Accountant with strong Accounts Receivable and Billing skills to join a close-knit, team-oriented environment in the construction industry. This opportunity is best for a self-starter who learns swiftly and can handle high-volume workloads well.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process accurate billings for contracts, rentals, sales, and services
- Key ticket information into Excel spreadsheets and transfer data into Sage 100
- Maintain organized and up-to-date billing records
- Research and resolve discrepancies quickly and professionally
- Follow up on overdue accounts with light collections activity
- Collaborate with the accounting team to meet month-end and year-end deadlines
- Provide administrative support as needed to keep operations running smoothly
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of Accounting and AR/Billing experience
- Proficiency in Excel (formulas, pivot tables)
- Detail-oriented, adaptable, self-starter, and team-focused
