Controller – Nashville, TN
Location: Nashville, TN (Headquarters)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Compensation: Up to $150,000 + Full Benefits
A leading subcontractor in institutional casework, millwork, and lab equipment is seeking a Controller to lead financial operations and strategy. This role reports directly to the President and plays a key part in driving performance and supporting growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
- Oversee AP/AR, payroll, tax compliance, and cash flow
- Manage monthly/quarterly/annual close processes
- Supervise and develop a team of three accounting staff
- Maintain internal controls and support external audits
- Administer benefits, insurance, and 401(k) programs
- Enhance financial dashboards (Power BI or similar)
Requirements
- CPA required
- Bachelor’s in Accounting
- Construction industry experience, including job costing and % of completion
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Power BI, and accounting systems (Starbuilder preferred)
