Staff Accountant
Our client, a busy distribution center, is seeking an entry level Staff Accountant to join the team! The ideal Staff Accountant is detail oriented and collaborates well in a team environment.
Our client, a busy distribution center, is seeking an entry level Staff Accountant to join the team! The ideal Staff Accountant is detail oriented and collaborates well in a team environment.
Key Tasks/Responsibilities:
- Support month/quarter/year-end close with journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations
- Handle AR aging, invoicing, cash application, and deduction resolution
- Help manage EDI/customer portal transactions and vendor PO requests
- Coordinate with Operations and parent company finance team
- Perform bank deposits, inventory reporting, and physical counts
- Contribute to audits, budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc reports
- Provide vacation backup and general accounting support
- Proficient in Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP); transitioning from Sage 100 to Sage X3 in 2026
Candidate Qualifications and Skills:
- Atleast 1 year of AR or Inventory experience
- Detail-oriented with clear, proactive communication
- Friendly, organized, and works well independently or on a team
- Thrives in fast-paced environments
- Bachelors in Accounting/Finance preferred
- Strong math, analytical skills, and GAAP knowledge
- Sage 100 experience a plus
