📍 Northwest Houston | 🏭 Manufacturing Industry
💰 $95,000 – $110,000 + Bonus
📅 Full-time | On-site with some travel
Are you a numbers-driven detective who thrives on uncovering insights behind the scenes? We're looking for a Cost Accountant to join a dynamic manufacturing team in Northwest Houston. If you love digging into the details of production costs, analyzing variances, and helping businesses make smarter financial decisions, this one's for you!
🌟 What You’ll Do:
- Analyze and monitor standard and actual costs for manufacturing processes
- Investigate cost variances and recommend process improvements
- Work closely with operations and supply chain to track inventory accuracy and production efficiency
- Assist in month-end closing and inventory valuation
- Partner with finance and leadership on budgeting and forecasting
- Provide support for internal/external audits and compliance reviews
- Travel occasionally to regional sites for financial reviews and process alignment
✅ What You Bring:
- 3+ years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
- Solid understanding of standard costing, inventory, and COGS
- Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.)
- Experience with ERP systems – Oracle is a nice-to-have, not a must
- Detail-oriented mindset and the ability to communicate complex financials clearly
