Job Title: Staff Accountant – Treasury Focus

Staff Accountant Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Staff Accountant to join our corporate accounting team. This role plays a vital part in managing cash-related functions, supporting treasury operations, and maintaining financial accuracy within the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles and a keen ability to analyze cash flow, reconcile accounts, and assist with short-term financial planning.

Staff Accountant Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and update cash books daily, ensuring accurate tracking of incoming collections.
• Perform bank reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Assist in the preparation of short-term cash flow forecasts to support financial decision-making.
• Support debt management processes, including monthly borrowing base calculations and quarterly work papers.
• Work closely with the corporate accounting team to ensure accurate reporting of treasury-related transactions.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring completeness and accuracy of financial records.
• Monitor cash positions and provide insights on liquidity needs while aligning with company financial strategies.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to improve cash management processes and enhance efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and relevant financial regulations.
• Support external audits by preparing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries related to treasury functions.

Staff Accountant Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in accounting, preferably within a corporate accounting or treasury function.
• Strong understanding of cash management, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting software (e.g., Epicor/SAP)
• Highly analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
