Payroll Manager – Leading Home Health Care Provider
Location: On-site in San Antonio, TX
Compensation: $75,000 – $85,000 + Bonus
A growing home health care organization is seeking a skilled Payroll Manager to lead high-volume, multi-entity payroll operations. This position oversees payroll for thousands of employees, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely processing across multiple employer identification numbers (EINs).
The right candidate will bring proven leadership experience, strong payroll tax knowledge, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities of the Payroll Manager:
Oversee payroll processing for multiple EINs totaling $8M every two weeks
Prepare, reconcile, and file payroll tax forms, including 941, 941 Schedule R, 941 Schedule B, 940, 940 Schedule R, SUTA, and W-2
Supervise and support payroll staff to ensure accuracy and timeliness
Maintain compliance with IRS Section 3504 and state unemployment regulations
Manage payroll systems, troubleshoot issues, and oversee upgrades
Reconcile payroll and tax data for accuracy
Address and resolve payroll tax notices with federal and state agencies
Qualifications of the Payroll Manager:
3–4 years of payroll accounting experience in an aggregate or multi-entity filing environment
3–4 years of leadership experience in payroll management
Strong knowledge of payroll tax regulations
Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in payroll software
Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) preferred
Passion for service and commitment to accuracy in a high-volume setting
