Overview of the Director of IT Security
- Develop company wide IT security frameworks
- Create the company’s Disaster recovery plan and maintain the security architecture design.
- Work with both the CIO and CTO handle the deployment and integrations to company security solutions
- Research security breaches and fix future breaches and issues
- Conduct regularly security awareness training to help maintain employee compliance and consistency.
- Work with and engage with the systems and networking teams to make sure companywide security policy if followed and monitored
Preferred Qualifications for the Director of IT Security
- Minimum of 5 years working in IT Security
- General experience in enterprise security architecture design
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Cyber Security, Computer Science, Management Information Systems)
- Certifications in either GIAC Security Essentials or ISACA Certified Information Security Manager
- Strong organizational, critical thinking and customer service skills
