Salary Range: $74,880 - $83,200

About the Role:

The Staff Accountant – General Ledger will play a critical role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting the finance team in day-to-day operations. This position is ideal for a proactive accounting professional with a strong foundation in general ledger accounting and financial reporting.

Overview of the Staff Accountant role:

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data.
• Assist with AR billing processes, ensuring timely and accurate recording of transactions.
• Prepare and post journal entries (ME JE) to support the month-end close process.
• Review and process accounting batches, ensuring data integrity and compliance with financial policies.
• Conduct account reconciliations and financial statement reviews to identify discrepancies and ensure accuracy.
• Support audits, improve accounting procedures, and ensure adherence to internal controls.

Preferred Qualifications for the Staff Accountant:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, with a focus on general ledger functions.
• Proficiency in accounting software; experience with MIP Fund Accounting is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain high accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
