Accounting Intern – On-Site | Seattle, WA
Salary Range: $49,920–$56,160 DOE

About the Role

As an Accounting Intern, you will support the finance and accounting team across a range of core responsibilities. This position is designed to help build a strong foundation in accounting fundamentals while offering opportunities to engage in more complex projects under guidance from experienced professionals. The Accounting Intern will gain experience working with financial records, reporting tools, and department processes while being part of a collaborative, mission-driven organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with accounts payable and receivable functions
• Support month-end and year-end close processes
• Prepare journal entries and reconcile bank statements
• Conduct research, compile data, and assist in financial reporting
• Help maintain accurate financial records and documentation
• Participate in team meetings and collaborate on ad hoc projects

Ideal Candidate

• Education: Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an accounting, finance, or related degree program
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Effective written and verbal communication
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Google Workspace
• Ability to work both independently and within a team environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior internship or part-time experience in an accounting or finance role
• Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar)
