About the Role

This Accounting Specialist position is integral to the day-to-day accounting operations supporting complex, fast-paced construction projects. Overview of the Accounting Specialist role:

• Processing accounts payable transactions monthly, primarily received through a digital inbox.
• Job cost coding and verification, working closely with Project Managers to ensure accurate job coding and proper system entries.
• Automated approvals routing—you’ll oversee and manage an efficient digital workflow to ensure timely authorizations.
• Printing checks for final approval, and preparing documentation in alignment with internal procedures.
• Matching truck tickets and assisting with administrative tasks associated with job billing processes.
• Supporting billing processes and ensuring invoice accuracy.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a structured yet high-volume environment and enjoys problem-solving within construction-related accounting workflows.

Preferred Qualifications for the Accounting Specialist

The successful Accounting Specialist will be:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting role; construction industry background highly desirable.
• Strong familiarity with AP, billing processes, and job costing.
• Proven ability to adapt quickly to new systems and workflows.
• Proficient in working with accounting systems beyond just QuickBooks—experience with Acumatica is a major plus.
