Accounts Receivable Specialist

Salary Range: $52,000 – $58,240 DOE

As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, you'll play a key role in managing customer accounts, processing payments, and maintaining financial accuracy.

Overview of the Accounts Receivable Role:

• Proactively pursue payment on delinquent accounts through direct communication with account holders
• Process credit card and ACH payments via third-party provider
• Release orders in alignment with company credit policies
• Collaborate with customers and internal departments to resolve A/R issues such as short pays, deductions, and reconciliation discrepancies
• Set up full-cycle job accounts according to company guidelines
• Complete lien waivers and credit reference documentation
• Provide back-up support for A/R functions, including deposit posting, credit applications, and data entry
• Post A/R cash and maintain new cash applications
• Deliver professional customer service via phone, email, and in-person communication
• Perform other duties and administrative tasks as needed

Preferred Qualifications for the Accounts Receivable Specialist:

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or equivalent experience
• At least 2 years of accounts receivable or credit experience
• Solid understanding of standard accounting procedures and reconciliation practices
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
• Experience with Epicor P21 ERP is a plus
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively
