Billing Specialist
Location: S. Seattle/SoDo / On-site
Salary Range: $62,400 – $72,800 DOE

The Billing Specialist will play a key role in maintaining accurate project billing, reconciling contracts, and supporting both internal teams and external partners. This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, proactive, and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment—particularly with experience in construction or project-based billing.

Overview of the Billing Specialist Role:

• Prepare and compile billing packages in accordance with contract terms, including lien waivers, AIA forms, and schedule of values
• Submit billings through client portals and ensure timely, accurate documentation
• Investigate billing discrepancies and process corrections as needed
• Reconcile contracts and billing, ensuring consistency across documentation
• Collect sub-tier lien releases from vendors
• Support Accounts Receivable team with various ongoing and ad hoc projects
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications for the Billing Specialist

• Associate degree in Business, Accounting, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 2–4 years of accounts receivable or billing experience; construction industry experience preferred
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint);
• Knowledge of automated accounting and/or construction management software a plus
• Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills
