Payroll & Accounts Payable Specialist
Location: Seattle / W. Lake Union (Hybrid)
Salary Range: $65,000 – $74,880 DOE

Key Responsibilities:

In this role, the Payroll & Accounts Payable Specialist will:

• Process semi-monthly payroll; ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting.
• Reconcile payroll with the accounting system (MIP) and respond to employee inquiries.
• Manage accounts payable: process invoices, reimbursements, and credit card expenses.
• Conduct check runs, maintain vendor files, and support 1099 compliance.
• Record deposits, track education benefits, and support other accounting tasks as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2+ years of payroll and accounts payable experience.
• Familiarity with accounting systems; experience with MIP is a plus.
• Strong understanding of payroll processes, tax compliance, and AP best practices.
• High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
• Experience working in a mission-driven or multi-funded environment is a huge plus.
