Project Accountant
Location: West Seattle / On-site
Salary Range: $64,480 – $79,040 DOE

Our client—a nationally respected provider of environmental and industrial services—is seeking a Project Accountant to join their growing team in West Seattle. As a Project Accountant, you’ll play a key role in the financial operations that support field services across the country. This position focuses on accurate invoicing, purchase order management, and billing for complex service lines. It’s a great fit for professionals with strong organizational skills and prior project accounting experience, especially in construction or environmental services.

Overview of the Project Accountant Role:

• Manage billing operations for multiple service lines, ensuring accuracy and timely submission of invoices.
• Perform data entry, pull purchase orders, and conduct worksheet reviews in preparation for client invoicing.
• Collaborate with internal teams to gather required documentation and confirm project billing terms.
• Support invoice generation, ensuring alignment with customer contracts and scopes of work.
• Utilize Spectrum software and Excel for data tracking and financial reporting.
• Communicate with project managers and other stakeholders to resolve billing discrepancies.
• Help maintain audit-ready records and contribute to process improvements across project accounting functions.

Preferred Qualifications for the Project Accountant:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.
• Prior experience as a Project Accountant or in a similar role is highly preferred.
• Background in construction, environmental services, or industrial field operations is a plus.
• Familiarity with Spectrum construction accounting software is a strong advantage.
• High attention to detail with solid analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• A proactive attitude and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
