Location: Tacoma / On-site
Salary Range: $58,240 – $66,560 DOE

As a Payroll Specialist, you’ll ensure accurate, compliant payroll processing and provide critical support across payroll, benefits, and reporting functions. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who values stability, teamwork, and making a real impact.

Overview of the Payroll Specialist role:

• Process biweekly payroll by collecting, reviewing, and entering daily/weekly timesheet data.
• Prepare and distribute paychecks; generate reports on earnings, deductions, and taxes.
• Maintain and update records for wage changes, benefits, garnishments, and 401(k) deductions.
• Ensure accurate and timely tax payments and benefit premium remittance.
• Respond to employee inquiries and resolve payroll-related issues professionally.
• Support retirement contribution processing and participate in annual audits.
• Assist with special projects and general accounting support as needed.

Preferred Qualification for the Payroll Specialist:

• Associate degree in accounting or related field preferred.
• 2+ years of full-cycle, in-house payroll processing experience.
• Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
• Solid understanding of payroll compliance, taxes, and wage garnishments.
• High attention to detail, strong communication, and ability to handle confidential data.
