Director of Finance
Location: On-Site | Madison, WI

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting functions, ledgers, and reporting systems to ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory standards

• Manage cash flow, payroll, accounts payable/receivable, cost allocations, journal entries, and bank reconciliations

• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports

• Support departmental budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting

• Partner with leadership on annual budget planning and financial strategy

• Manage financial reporting for internal projects and external partnerships

• Supervise and develop a small finance team, ensuring strong collaboration and performance

• Maintain internal controls and implement process improvements

• Oversee benefit budgeting and company-sponsored retirement plans

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)

• 10+ years of progressive experience in accounting/finance, with at least 3 in a leadership role

• Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and corporate budgeting

• Experience managing audits, leading teams, and supporting executive decision-making

• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
