Key Responsibilities of the Accounting Office Manager:

  • Own day-to-day accounting operations including AP, AR, bank reconciliations, and general ledger activity
  • Maintain accurate financial records for inventory, compliance, and project documentation
  • Oversee construction accounting, job costing, and progress billing
  • Manage month-end close and prepare financial packages for the external CPA firm
  • Support process improvements and help build a scalable office structure
  • Support sales team as needed
  • Handle ad hoc duties as needed including daily close of the business

Qualifications for the Accounting Office Manager:

  • 4+ years’ accounting experience required
    • Experience working in a one person or small accounting department preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field a plus (but not required)
  • Experience using QuickBooks a plus
  • Basic Excel skills required
  • Experience in construction industry a plus (but not required; can be taught on the job)
  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail

Salary: $72,000-$75,000
Schedule: 100% on site in Upper Marlboro, MD. Monday-Friday 7am-4pm
