The Assistant Controller will play a key leadership role within the finance team, supporting the Controller in overseeing all accounting operations, financial reporting, and internal controls while contributing to strategic decision-making.

Salary Range: $100,000–$135,000

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Controller in managing day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger
  • Oversee financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Lead month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and journal entries
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis initiatives
  • Assist with external audits and provide necessary documentation and schedules
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, internal controls, and operational efficiency
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff (up to 5 team members)
  • Collaborate with department leaders to provide financial insights supporting strategic business decisions

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or CMA preferred
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory experience
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls
  • Experience managing a team and overseeing accounting operations
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
