E&P Revenue Supervisor- requires relocation to Durango, CO.

Our client is seeking an experienced oil & gas Revenue Supervisor to lead their revenue accounting function within a growing Exploration & Production company. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys leading people, and has the technical expertise to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant revenue operations.

You’ll work closely with leadership, oversee a talented team, and play a critical role in the integrity of our financial reporting and cash operations.

What You’ll Do

Lead the Revenue Function

Own and oversee all revenue accounting activities, including:

  • Monthly revenue distribution
  • Recording and input of non-operated revenue received from partners
  • Revenue reconciliations and analysis
  • Supporting the Controller and Assistant Controller with reporting and operational needs

Supervise & Develop the Team

Lead, mentor, and support a team of 3 Revenue Accountants by:

  • Providing training and technical guidance
  • Reviewing work for accuracy and completeness
  • Building an accountable, collaborative, and high-performing culture

Support Monthly Close

Assist with the monthly general ledger close process, including:

  • Accruals
  • Prior period adjustments
  • Journal entries
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • General accounting support and analysis

Treasury & Cash Management

Help maintain strong cash controls through:

  • Daily cash reconciliations
  • Coding incoming deposits
  • Processing and inputting weekly cash disbursements

Taxes & Royalties

Manage and support calculations and payments related to:

  • Severance taxes
  • Royalties
  • Other oil & gas-related obligations

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting
  • Experience in upstream oil & gas revenue accounting
  • Strong understanding of E&P accounting practices and revenue distribution
  • Leadership or supervisory experience preferred
  • High attention to detail with strong analytical skills
  • Ability to prioritize, problem-solve, and manage deadlines
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Experience working cross-functionally with accounting and operations teams

Salary: $120K-140K
