About The Organization Seeking A Payroll Specialist:
- Internationally famous organization serving the local, national, and international community
- Founded over 100 years ago; they take care to keep the programming relevant
- Five major concurrently running programs are funded by donations, grants, and other sources
- The Payroll Specialist sits on the Human Resources team and partners closely with the Finance department
Responsibilities For The Payroll Specialist Include, But Are Not Limited To:
- Process payroll for 200+ employees
- Manage HRIS data entry and system updates
- Ensure compliance with payroll laws and tax regulations
- Onboard new employees in the HRIS and manage benefits enrollment
- Provide support for payroll/benefits inquiries and issues
- Prepare payroll journal entries
- Assist with audits and internal process improvements
Background Expected Of The Payroll Specialist:
- BS in Accounting or Finance, or experience equivalent (+4 years in payroll)
- 3+ years of experience in a payroll position
- Nonprofit experience and proficiency with Paylocity are pluses
Salary Range:
$55,000 – 75,000
