Mostly Remote – must be a Colorado resident
Salary: $120,000 – $150,000

Overview
We are seeking an experienced, hands‑on Controller to join a growing organization. This role is ideal for a finance professional with strong publicly traded company experience who enjoys owning the close, strengthening controls, and helping scale accounting operations. The Controller will play a critical role as the company continues to raise capital, enhance reporting rigor, and mature its financial infrastructure.

Core Responsibilities of the Controller

  • Own and manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation
  • Oversee core accounting functions with a strong focus on accuracy, timeliness, and compliance
  • Lead and support the transition and ongoing optimization of NetSuite, including process improvements and system adoption
  • Support PCAOB‑related audits and coordinate with external auditors in a publicly traded company environment
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and reporting standards
  • Support M&A integration activities, including onboarding acquired entities and integrating financials into NetSuite
  • The Controller will collaborate with finance leadership on special projects related to growth, scalability, and operational improvements

Core Competencies & Skills

  • Proven experience in a publicly traded company environment
  • Strong, hands‑on expertise with NetSuite, including system optimization and ongoing use
  • Prior experience in the mining industry or other asset‑intensive industries strongly preferred
  • Advanced Excel skills with the ability to manage complex reconciliations, reporting, and analysis
  • Demonstrated experience supporting audits and operating within regulated, compliance‑driven environments
  • Exposure to M&A integration and multi‑entity accounting structures is a plus
  • NASDAQ reporting or IPO experience is a plus
  • Ability to take full ownership of the monthly close, audit coordination, and accounting system improvements

Work Environment & Hours
