Senior Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst

About the Opportunity
We are partnering with a large, rapidly growing professional services organization (confidential search) to identify a Senior FP&A Analyst to join their team. With over $1B in annual revenue and significant expansion in recent years, the organization is continuing to invest in its finance function to better support growth, decision-making, and operational insights.
This is a newly created role offering strong visibility to leadership, meaningful ownership, and the opportunity to contribute to a highly collaborative, multi-location FP&A team.
Position Overview
This role blends forward-looking FP&A with strong technical/data capabilities. While reporting and data work are important, the primary focus is on:
- Financial modeling and forecasting
- Ad hoc analysis and business insights
- Supporting strategic decision-making
- Partnering with finance leadership
You’ll play a key role in helping the organization translate complex financial data into actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain financial models to support forecasting and planning
- Perform ad hoc analysis and deliver insights to support business decisions
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes across the organization
- Analyze financial performance and identify trends, risks, and opportunities
- Work with large datasets to extract, transform, and analyze financial data
- Partner with internal stakeholders, including finance leadership and operational teams
- Support ongoing process improvements and reporting enhancements
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in FP&A, finance, or related field
- Advanced Excel skills (modeling, data manipulation, visualization)
- Experience with tools such as Power Query, Power Pivot, and/or Power Automate
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work with large, complex datasets
- Excellent communication skills and ability to present insights clearly
Preferred Background
- Experience within a law firm or professional services environment (strongly preferred)
- Familiarity with billable-hour or partner-driven business models
- Exposure to data/BI tools (SQL, Tableau, etc.)

Compensation
- Base salary: $95,000 – $115,000
- Firm bonus + discretionary bonus (typically 5%–10%)
Work Environment
- Hybrid model (typically 4 days onsite to start, with flexibility over time)
