Key Responsibilities of the Controller
- Oversee all accounting operations including GL, AP/AR, payroll, cash receipts, and fixed assets
- Lead monthly and annual close processes in compliance with GAAP
- Supervise and mentor an accounting team driving collaboration and continuous improvement
- Prepare and present accurate financial reports for leadership and the Board
- Lead budgeting, audits, regulatory reporting, internal controls, and cash/investment management
Ideal Background for the Controller
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; CPA strongly preferred
- 5–10 years of progressive accounting experience with strong GAAP knowledge
- Collaborative, hands‑on leader with strong analytical and organizational skills
