Director of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) – Financial Services
Salary: $165,000 to $180,000 + Bonus

Key Responsibilities for the Director of FP&A:
• Lead the enterprise budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes
• Oversee monthly and quarterly financial performance reporting, variance analysis, and executive-level insights
• Develop and maintain profitability analysis across branches, products, and member segments
• Build and deliver financial modeling, scenario planning, and “what-if” analysis to support strategic initiatives
• Partner with Accounting, Treasury, and senior leadership to align financial planning with balance sheet and liquidity strategy
• Drive continuous improvement of FP&A processes, reporting automation, and forecasting accuracy
• Lead implementation and optimization of financial planning systems (Empyrean and related analytics tools)
• Manage and develop a small FP&A team (2–3 direct reports), building analytical capability and business partnership skills
• Translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for executive leadership and board-level discussions

Qualifications for the Director of FP&A:
• 10+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, Finance, or Accounting
• 4+ years of leadership experience managing and developing direct reports
• Financial services, banking, or credit union experience strongly preferred (or closely related industries such as insurance or investment services)
• Strong experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling in complex organizations
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field required (MBA preferred)
• Experience with FP&A systems (Empyrean, Anaplan, Adaptive, Hyperion, or similar) highly preferred
• Strong executive communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional leadership
• Experience with profitability modeling, scenario analysis, or balance sheet dynamics is a plus
