Title: Nonprofit Controller
Compensation: Up to $110,000 base salary

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee all accounting and finance operations, ensuring accuracy across full‑cycle and fund accounting
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, monthly reporting, audit preparation, and compliance activities
  • Supervise the AP, AR, and revenue recognition functions while supporting staff development and performance
  • Oversee fund accounting, including donor intent, endowments, and deferred revenue, while continuously improving financial systems and reporting capabilities
  • Manage payroll and collaborate with HR to streamline and enhance related processes

Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar
  • 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory responsibility, ideally in nonprofit or fund accounting
  • Advanced user of Excel and demonstrated experience with accounting/ERP systems (preference for Blackbaud Financial Edge)
  • Track record of process improvement, budgeting, and audit readiness in a mission-oriented organization
