Key Responsibilities
- Supervise the full-cycle accounts payable process, including invoice processing, vendor payments, subcontractor payments, ACH/wire activity, and reconciliations
- Review and manage lien waivers, Notices to Owner (NTOs), subcontractor compliance documents, COIs, and related construction payment documentation
- Lead and mentor Accounts Payable staff while helping improve processes, controls, and efficiencies
- Partner with Project Managers, Operations, and Accounting leadership to ensure accurate job costing and timely payment processing
- Assist with implementing the AP function in a new ERP system
- Assist with month-end close support, vendor maintenance, W-9 management, and 1099 preparation
Qualifications
- 5+ years of Accounts Payable experience within construction, contracting, engineering, infrastructure, or project-based industries
- Strong experience with lien waivers, subcontractor billing/payment processes, and construction compliance documentation
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience within Accounts Payable required
