Key Responsibilities for the Senior Accountant
- Lead full-cycle accounting, including close, entries, and reconciliations
- Prepare and review financial statements and variance analyses
- Manage general ledger in compliance with GAAP
- Partner on budgeting, forecasting, and planning
- Support audits and maintain controls and documentation
- Improve processes to streamline workflows
- Mentor junior accounting staff as the Senior Accountant
Qualifications for the Senior Accountant
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 4+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong GAAP and financial reporting expertise
- Experience with close, reconciliations, and analysis
- Advanced Excel and accounting systems skills
- CPA or CPA-track preferred
- Strong communicator; thrives in a collaborative, in-office setting
