Our client, a large publicly traded global organization, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its expanding corporate finance team. This newly created position has been designed to support continued global growth and increasing complexity across the organization.

Key Responsibilities for the Senior Accountant

  • Prepare consolidation journal entries and support the monthly close process
  • Consolidate financial results across global entities and prepare supporting analyses
  • Own key aspects of monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities, including eliminations and reconciliations
  • Assist in preparing quarterly and annual financial statements, including footnotes and supporting schedules
  • Support SEC reporting requirements, including Form 10-Q and 10-K filings
  • Assist with board reporting and executive-level financial presentations
  • Review financial data from global business units to ensure GAAP compliance and consistency with corporate policies
  • Support intercompany accounting, treasury-related activities, and corporate accounting functions
  • Partner with internal and external auditors during quarterly and annual audit cycles
  • Assist with internal controls documentation, testing, and compliance requirements
  • Support consolidation systems, reporting tools, and data integrity initiatives
  • Drive process improvements to enhance close efficiency, accuracy, and reporting timelines
  • Provide accounting guidance and support to global business units and cross-functional teams

Qualifications for the Senior Accountant

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required (Master’s degree or MBA preferred)
  • CPA preferred
  • 4+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • Big 4 public accounting or large public company experience strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and internal controls
  • Experience with consolidations and multi-entity accounting required or strongly preferred
  • Exposure to SEC reporting and financial statement preparation is a plus
  • ERP system experience required
  • Advanced Excel skills with strong analytical capabilities
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work across global teams
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated professional who thrives in a deadline-driven environment
