Smaller, well-established industrial company, privately owned, has a new permanent opportunity for a Senior Accountant. Position reports to the CFO with lots of opportunity to learn, take on more, grow. The Senior Accountant will support senior leadership on a broad range of accounting and finance work including day to day accounting operations, financial/management reporting, ME close, and AP. 40-hour work week, flexible family culture, flexible hours with healthcare, dental, vision, 401k, STD/LTD and additional benefits.
Approximate Salary: 70,000-90,000 per year + Bonus – Depending on experience
Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant:
- Day to day operational accounting, assist with the close process, prepare reconciliations and closing entries
- Assist with preparation of monthly financial/managerial statements
- Accounts Payable
- Assist in overseeing, developing, and ensuring compliance for accounting procedures and internal controls
- Providing support, completing special projects and providing ad-hoc reports to management
- Assist with ERP implementation
Experience for the Senior Accountant:
- Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance, business or related
- General accounting experience in manufacturing, distribution, industrial, products or related ideal
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Microsoft Excel
- ERP systems experience/interest in technology
