Key Responsibilities of the Senior Accounting Manager
  • Lead, develop, and mentor Accounting and Accounts Payable staff while driving team performance and accountability
  • Own the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness across ERP and reporting systems
  • Oversee reconciliations and financial activity across cash, inventory, AR/AP, prepaid expenses, and accruals
  • Partner cross-functionally to deliver insights that support operational and financial decision-making
  • Drive process improvements, system enhancements, and automation initiatives to increase efficiency and scalability
  • Support manufacturing accounting, including standard costing, inventory valuation, cycle counts, and variance analysis
  • Lead key initiatives such as audit readiness, ERP projects, and accounting policy updates
  • Serve as a trusted advisor by researching and resolving complex accounting and reporting issues
Ideal Background for the Senior Accounting Manager
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA strongly preferred
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience; public accounting background strongly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls
  • Proven experience managing and developing accounting teams
  • Exposure to manufacturing environments, including cost accounting and inventory
  • Ability to interpret complex accounting topics and communicate clear, actionable guidance
  • Experience working with ERP systems and leading process improvements
  • Background in AP, payroll, or benefits/insurance is a plus
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence across functions in a fast-paced environment
Senior Accounting Manager Salary: 120,000-150,000 + Bonus
