Position Summary
The Inventory Control Clerk plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, efficiency, and reliability of inventory operations. This Inventory Control Clerk position is responsible for maintaining optimal inventory levels, supporting daily operational needs, and coordinating closely with vendors and internal teams. The Inventory Control Clerk will analyze inventory data, identify replenishment needs, and help drive continuous improvement in inventory processes.

Key Responsibilities of the Inventory Control Clerk

  • The Inventory Control Clerk will monitor, track, and maintain accurate inventory levels across all materials and products.
  • Review daily inventory reports to identify shortages, trends, and replenishment requirements.
  • The Inventory Control Clerk will create and manage purchase orders, ensuring timely procurement from vendors and suppliers.
  • Receive, inspect, and process incoming materials while verifying accuracy against purchase orders.
  • Maintain and update inventory records to ensure data integrity and audit readiness; the Inventory Control Clerk is accountable for accuracy.
  • Communicate proactively with vendors and suppliers regarding order status, discrepancies, and delivery timelines.
  • Partner with operations, purchasing, and customer service teams to support production and fulfillment needs.
  • The Inventory Control Clerk will help identify process improvements to streamline inventory management and reduce discrepancies.

Qualifications for the Inventory Control Clerk

  • Prior experience in inventory control, purchasing, receiving, or a related function is required.
  • The Inventory Control Clerk must demonstrate strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with vendors, suppliers, and cross-functional internal teams.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
