Key Responsibilities for the Controller:

  • Lead the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and maintain general ledger integrity
  • Oversee cost accounting, job costing, inventory accounting, and manufacturing reporting
  • Develop, monitor, and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), including operational metrics and debt service coverage ratios
  • Prepare financial statements, management reports, forecasts, and executive-level financial analysis
  • Analyze costs, margins, profitability, and operational performance to support business decisions
  • Manage, mentor, and develop a team of approximately five accounting professionals
  • Strengthen internal controls and continuously improve accounting processes and procedures
  • Partner cross-functionally with operations and leadership to improve business performance
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and strategic initiatives

Preferred Qualifications for the Controller:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience
  • Previous leadership experience managing or mentoring an accounting team
  • CPA or CMA designation is a plus but not required
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • A proactive, hands-on leader who enjoys improving processes and driving results
