Accounting Manager

Well-established agriculture organization in Kern County, is seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, month-end close, and team leadership. Salary: $110,000 – $140,000 + Benefits

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and financial reporting

• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes

• Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP

• Maintain account reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial records

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis efforts

• Coordinate external audits and support tax preparation activities

• Develop and maintain internal controls and accounting procedures

• Supervise and mentor accounting staff

• Partner with leadership to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• 5+ years of accounting leadership experience

• Prior experience within agriculture or manufacturing environments

• Strong knowledge of month-end close, financial reporting, and GAAP

• Experience managing accounting functions including AP, AR, payroll, and general accounting
