Staff Accountant
Location: LaPorte, Indiana (Fully Onsite)
Salary Range: $75,000 – $90,000
Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated Staff Accountant to join our growing manufacturing team in LaPorte, Indiana. This fully onsite position is ideal for an accounting professional with 2–5 years of experience who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and enjoys working with cost accounting, financial reporting, and operational analysis.
The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, experience supporting month-end close, and a passion for identifying opportunities to improve financial performance and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities

Support the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.

Perform cost accounting analysis, including inventory, manufacturing variances, labor, material, and overhead cost analysis.

Prepare financial reports, analyze operating results, and provide actionable insights to leadership.

Assist with budgeting, forecasting, physical inventory, and continuous process improvement initiatives.

Partner with operations and plant leadership to ensure financial accuracy and support strategic decision-making.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.

2–5 years of accounting experience, including at least one year in a manufacturing environment.

Strong background in cost accounting, financial reporting, and month-end close.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and Excel skills with the ability to interpret financial data.

Positive attitude, strong communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
