What You’ll Do

  • Prepare monthly financial statements for an assigned portfolio of properties
  • Perform month-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial analysis
  • Maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate financial reporting
  • Reconcile bank accounts and balance sheet accounts
  • Track fixed assets and depreciation
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Support year-end audits and tax preparation
  • Work closely with property managers and operational teams to provide financial insight
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 2+ years of accounting experience (property accounting experience is a plus but not required)
  • Strong understanding of GAAP
  • Experience with month-end close and financial reporting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with Yardi, MRI, RealPage, or similar ERP systems is a plus
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Self-motivated with a desire to grow professionally
