About the Opportunity – Billing Specialist
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Billing & AR Specialist to join their growing team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and brings strong expertise in billing processes, collections, and advanced Excel skills. You’ll play a key role in optimizing cash flow, improving accuracy, and supporting financial operations.
Key Responsibilities – Billing Specialist
- Manage full-cycle billing, ensuring accurate and timely invoices
- Oversee accounts receivable processes, including payment posting and reconciliation
- Proactively handle collections and resolve past-due accounts with professionalism and urgency
- Analyze AR aging reports and identify trends to improve cash flow performance
- Utilize advanced Excel functions (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas) to track and report financial data
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and billing issues
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with company policies
- Assist with month-end close processes related to AR and billing
Qualifications – Billing Specialist
- 3+ years of experience in billing and accounts receivable
- Proven experience managing collections and reducing aging balances
- Strong Excel skills required (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis)
- High attention to detail with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills for client and internal interactions
- Experience with accounting or ERP systems preferred
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
