Staff Accountant Responsibilities
- Prepare account reconciliations and assist with month-end close activities.
- The Staff Accountant will process AIA billing and ensure timely, accurate invoicing for construction projects.
- Maintain job cost records and support project accounting functions.
- The Staff Accountant will assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
- Review vendor invoices, resolve discrepancies, and maintain accurate financial records.
- The Staff Accountant will collaborate with project managers and internal teams to support financial reporting and project profitability.
Preferred Qualifications for the Staff Accountant Role
- 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably within the construction industry.
- Previous experience with AIA billing is required.
- Experience with job costing, month-end close, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Strong understanding of construction accounting principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
