Accounting Specialist

A growing healthcare services organization is seeking an Accounting Specialist to support accounts receivable and general accounting functions. This role is ideal for someone looking to build a strong accounting foundation with the opportunity to grow into a Staff Accountant position.

Overview of the Accounting Specialist Role

• Post and apply daily cash receipts
• The Accounting Specialist will manage billing and accounts receivable transactions
• Research and resolve payment discrepancies
• Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on outstanding balances
• The Accounting Specialist will assist with month-end close and account reconciliations
• Prepare journal entries related to revenue and accounts receivable
• Maintain accurate financial records and support internal controls
• The Accounting Specialist will assist with audits and other accounting projects as needed

Preferred Qualifications for the Accounting Specialist

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or currently pursuing a degree)
• 2+ years of accounting or accounts receivable experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Eagerness to learn and grow within an accounting career
