Key Responsibilities for the Union Payroll Specialist

  • Process payroll for union employees across multiple unions, job locations, and states while ensuring timely and accurate payments.
  • Calculate, process, and remit union dues, fringe benefits, and trust fund contributions.
  • Prepare certified payroll reports and other required compliance documentation.
  • Review payroll transactions to ensure compliance with collective bargaining agreements, prevailing wage regulations, and company policies.
  • Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies while maintaining accurate payroll records.
  • Partner with HR, Accounting, Operations, and Project Management to verify payroll data, labor allocations, and job costing information.

Qualifications for the Union Payroll Specialist

  • Previous payroll experience in a union, construction, manufacturing, or other labor-intensive environment.
  • Strong understanding of collective bargaining agreements, union wage schedules, fringe benefits, and trust fund reporting.
  • Experience preparing certified payroll reports and working with prevailing wage regulations.
