Key Grant Accountant Responsibilities:

    • Manage the day-to-day financial administration of grants, ensuring accurate tracking, reporting, and compliance across multiple funding sources.
    • Develop and maintain grant accounting records, financial reports, and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy and transparency.
    • Work closely with program and operational leaders to monitor spending, forecast funding needs, and optimize grant utilization.
    • Grant Accountant will assist with monthly and annual financial closing processes, supporting accurate reporting and audit readiness.
    • Serve as a key resource for grant compliance, audit support, and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance financial operations and accountability.

Grant Accountant Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
    • 3 or more years of accounting experience, with nonprofit and grant accounting experience considered a strong plus.
    • Solid understanding of grant compliance, funding restrictions, budget monitoring, and cost allocation practices.
    • Familiarity with MIP Fund Accounting software preferred.
    • Strong Excel and financial reporting skills, with the ability to work confidently with financial data.
    • Highly organized, detail-oriented professional capable of balancing competing deadlines while maintaining accuracy and quality.
