Key Responsibilities for the Senior Accountant:
- Prepare financial statements and monthly management reporting
- Analyze budget-to-actual variances
- Manage month-end close, including journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals
- Oversee intercompany transactions and fixed asset accounting
- Calculate and files sales taxes in multiple states and tax jurisdictions
- Review the work of the Staff Accountant and Accounts Payable Clerk while serving as a key resource for the accounting team
- Support accounting projects and analyze processes for efficiency improvements
Qualifications for the Senior Accountant:
- 6-8 years of accounting experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals, including debits and credits
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience working collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
