Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the firm’s day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency across all accounting functions
  • Prepare monthly financial statements, management reports, account reconciliations, and financial analyses
  • Manage the month-end and year-end close process
  • Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, client billing, cash management, and general ledger activities
  • Support payroll processing and related accounting functions
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
  • Ensure compliance with accounting policies and internal controls
  • Maintain accurate financial records and support annual audits and tax preparation
  • Assist with trust accounting and trust reconciliation activities in accordance with legal industry requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • 3+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • Experience overseeing the full accounting cycle, including general ledger, financial reporting, AP, AR, reconciliations, and month-end close
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, financial reporting, and data analysis
  • Experience within a law firm or other professional services environment is highly preferred
  • Trust accounting experience is a strong plus
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship requirements
