- Prepare, format, proofread, and manage a variety of legal documents, correspondence, pleadings, and client materials, ensuring accuracy and compliance with firm standards.
- Maintain electronic client and matter files, including document management, records organization, matter opening, and file conversions.
- Coordinate court filings, docket management, and interactions with federal, state, and local courts and agencies while tracking deadlines and case-related commitments.
- Manage attorney calendars, travel arrangements, meetings, expenses, and project timelines to support efficient practice operations.
- Review and process time entries, billing information, and client billing memos, ensuring accuracy and adherence to firm billing procedures.
- Provide exceptional administrative support by handling client communications, coordinating with internal teams and vendors, delegating tasks as appropriate, and serving as backup support to ensure seamless coverage.
- The areas of law served will include: appellate, automotive, probate and other areas as needed.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
- 3+ years of equivalent training and experience in Litigation
- Experience with litigation procedures and court filing requirements, with experience in Kent County preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite
- Ability to work onsite in Detroit (company paid parking)
