Senior Accountant
Location: Hartford, CT (Fully Onsite)
Salary: $70,000 – $76,000
Are you an experienced accounting professional looking to join a collaborative and fast-paced environment? We are seeking a Senior Accountant to support a variety of accounting operations, financial reporting activities, reconciliations, and month-end/year-end processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and post journal entries and maintain general ledger accuracy
- Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
- Manage cash activity, deposits, and related reporting
- Process accruals, allocations, and other monthly accounting entries
- Review accounts payable, invoices, and financial transactions
- Support fixed asset and prepaid expense accounting
- Assist with balance sheet reconciliations and financial analysis
- Support month-end and year-end close processes
- Ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with accounting policies
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business required
- 3+ years of full-cycle accounting experience
- Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and month-end close activities
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and organizational abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
