Staff Accountant

Salary: $65-80K (DOE) + discretionary bonus

The Staff Accountant role at a glance

  1. The Staff Accountant will be tasked with preparing monthly journal entries and account reconciliations on a high-volume basis while ensuring accuracy and completeness.

  2. Assist with the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.

  3. Own assigned balance sheet accounts and perform detailed account analysis and reconciliations.

  4. Support financial reporting and assist with preparation of monthly management reporting packages.

  5. Work closely with internal and external auditors and assist with audit requests.

  1. Identify and champion process improvement and automation opportunities within the accounting function.

  1. Heavy data analysis and reconciliation work.

  2. Support cash management activities, accruals, fixed assets, and general ledger accounting.

Preferred qualifications of the Staff Accountant

  1. BS in Accounting required.

  2. 1-3 years of public accounting OR 1-3 years of corporate accounting experience OR a mix of public accounting and industry experience.

  3. Strong understanding of GAAP and month-end close processes.

  4. Proficient in MS Excel and accustomed to working with large volumes of financial data.

  5. Experience with ERP systems preferred.

  6. Strong analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail.

  7. Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.

  8. CPA eligibility or plans to pursue certification is a plus.
