Key Responsibilities for the Production Planner:
- Develop, maintain, and communicate production schedules for assigned facilities
- Balance customer demand, production capacity, inventory targets, and material availability
- Coordinate production timing, sequencing, and resource requirements with operations teams
- Monitor forecasts, sales orders, inventory levels, and safety stock requirements
- Adjust plans based on changing demand, supply constraints, weather impacts, and logistics considerations
- Support purchasing activities, supplier coordination, and material availability tracking
Qualifications for the Production Planner:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations Management, or related field
- 2-5 years of experience in production planning, materials planning, supply chain, or manufacturing operations
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, or similar platforms
- Strong Microsoft Excel and overall Microsoft Office proficiency
- Experience managing production schedules, inventory, materials, or demand planning
- Manufacturing environment experience preferred
