Senior Accountant Responsibilities
- Prepare journal entries, accruals, reclasses, and account reconciliations as part of the monthly close
- Analyze balance sheet and income statement accounts and investigate variances
- Maintain supporting schedules, bank reconciliations, and audit-ready documentation
- Assist with cash forecasting, financial analysis, and special accounting projects
- Partner with AP, AR, and operational teams to improve processes and resolve accounting issues
Senior Accountant Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 4+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong GAAP, general ledger, accrual accounting, and month-end close experience
- Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and lookup functions
- Experience within construction, project-based services, field services, or a similar environment is a plus
