Key Responsibilities of the Accountant

  • Prepare journal entries, accruals, allocations, payroll-related entries, and other general ledger transactions.
  • Perform bank and account reconciliations while supporting monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities.
  • Assist with financial reporting, audit preparation, tax support, and related accounting schedules.
  • Maintain financial records and reconciliations for affiliated entities and investment activities.
  • Calculate management fees, interest income, and other investment-related accounting adjustments.
  • Partner with the team to identify efficiencies and support accounting system enhancements and automation efforts.

Qualifications for the Accountant

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in an Accountant or accounting-related role.
  • Strong experience with general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
  • Nonprofit accounting experience is preferred but not required.
  • Understanding of fund accounting, investment accounting, consolidations, or corporate accounting principles.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience working with accounting software and ERP systems.
