Key Responsibilities for the Project Accountant:
• Review contracts and establish project billing structures for multiple projects as the Project Accountant
• Manage project setup, invoicing, revenue tracking, billing cycles, and customer payment coordination
• Maintain project data, contracts, and change orders within the ERP system
• Partner with project managers to ensure accurate project financial reporting and timely billing
• Monitor receivables, support collections efforts, and help the Project Accountant function optimize project cash flow
• Manage project setup, invoicing, revenue tracking, billing cycles, and customer payment coordination
• Maintain project data, contracts, and change orders within the ERP system
• Partner with project managers to ensure accurate project financial reporting and timely billing
• Monitor receivables, support collections efforts, and help the Project Accountant function optimize project cash flow
Qualifications for the Project Accountant:
• 3+ years of experience in project accounting, project billing, accounts receivable, or construction accounting
• Experience reviewing contracts, change orders, and project-specific billing requirements
• Strong Excel skills and experience working within ERP or accounting systems; Spectrum experience is a plus
• Understanding of job costing, project accounting principles, and customer collections processes
