Accountant

Location: Columbus, IN
Salary: $70,000 – $85,000 depending on experience
Reports To: Controller

Position Summary

The Accountant will support the company’s accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, financial reporting, account reconciliations, month-end close, and inventory accounting. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional looking to grow within a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries and maintain the general ledger.
• Perform monthly account and bank reconciliations.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close.
• Prepare financial reports and supporting schedules.
• Support inventory accounting and physical inventory processes.
• Analyze financial data and investigate variances.
• Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules.
• Assist with audits, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Support ERP system processes and continuous improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 3+ years of accounting experience.
• Manufacturing and inventory accounting experience preferred.
• Strong Excel and ERP system skills.
